Outsourcing to the next level

I’ve had my first negative outsource experience using ScriptLance where a 5 day project for $50 went nowhere after 3 weeks. As the saying goes, if it sounds too good to be true then it probably is, I should have seen the disaster coming. Elance, one of the better outsource platforms I’ve come across gives 12 top tips for outsourcing your next project. Tip #9 on price is not how I made my original decision but should have been flagged as an indicator at the time and Tip #5 is why I won’t be using ScriptLance again. A 5 minute read could save you a lot of trouble.

Hi Val, this is Nicole Miller from vWorker.com (formerly known as Rentacoder.com).

I’m sorry you had such a negative experience with Scriptlance. Generally, outsourcing through a well-known service progresses without a hitch. If you’d like to learn more about the selection process, check out some of the information available at vWorker’s employer library (http://bit.ly/dzseP1) as well.

And if you have any questions, feel free to call in to talk to a facilitator, or send email through the site’s feedback form.
